What makes a good digital presence for a university?

We know from experience what elements make up a successful digital presence for universities:

  • Use-case-oriented information architecture: structuring content according to specific user scenarios and needs—rather than primarily according to organizational structure.

Relaunch vs. optimization

Not every university website needs a complete overhaul. Sometimes targeted further development is sufficient, while other times a relaunch is the better option. We work with you to analyze which approach is right for you—strategically, technically, and in terms of content.

A relaunch is particularly recommended if:

  • the existing website is technically outdated,
    structural or content weaknesses impair the user experience,
  • a new strategic focus, a brand relaunch, or a repositioning of the university is pending,
  • accessibility, SEO, or mobile optimization lag far behind current standards.

 

Optimization, on the other hand, can be ideal if:

  • the technical basis is solid,
  • selective improvements (e.g., in UX, content, or performance) are sufficient,
