Presenting Austria’s Imperial Heritage Online

The Schönbrunn Group brings together under one roof the most visited attractions and offers of Austria’s imperial heritage: Schönbrunn Palace, the Vienna Furniture Museum, the Sisi Museum with Imperial Apartments and Silver Collection in the Vienna Hofburg, Schloss Hof, and Schloss Niederweiden. These attractions related to the Habsburg family delight numerous visitors every day.

The goal of the project was to create a contemporary and interactive website that also conveys the enthusiasm for the imperial heritage online as well and virtually invites you to discover more.

In a multi-stage pitch, we were able to score points with a convincing UX design, but also with a well thought-out, scalable technical concept and a carefully planned work process for the relaunch of six websites.

We are now a supplier to the Imperial-Royal Court 🙂

An Imperial Website Family

Together with the Schönbrunn Group team, we created a state-of-the-art web presence consisting of 6 websites, which are characterized by modern design and optimal user experience (UX) as well as a modern technical platform based on TYPO3 content management system (CMS).

  • Emotional user experience through storytelling and impressive video recordings.
  • The existing corporate design was transformed into an easy-to-use user interface with a high-performance front end.
  • Focus on conversion optimisation: an increase in online ticket sales was achieved.
  • Editors are also an important target group. When re-implementing the TYPO3 CMS, attention was also paid to an editor-friendly setup.

A Website-Family-Look

In addition to the launch of Schönbrunn Palace and the Schönbrunn Group, the other members of the SKB website family were also successively implemented in the new design and with the help of the new construction kit of website modules: Schloss Hof, the Sisi Museum in the Vienna Hofburg, the Vienna Furniture Museum and Schönbrunn Palace Meetings & Events became part of the new online presence. The website kaiserkinder.at was also visually adapted to the new design concept.
